This piece was included as part of Stitch Spectacular, an annual show that recognizes the exploration of new frontiers in creative hand embroidery.

This piece is inspired by an imaginative view of a section of the inside of a human body, my body.
Everything connects, vein like threads travel and unite with one another; a swirl of beaded, printed, stitched and embroidered cells interact and overlap. It is a three-dimensional world.
Red tear drop shapes, reminiscent of blood, drip reminding us that it is real flesh.
It is a micro-cosmos in constant flux. It is also a metaphor for Life itself, we are like tiny cells lost in the myriad relations of a much larger organism.
